About the Department

The University Five Year Law College, a self financing, endeavour, offers an integrated B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) degree in 10 Semesters in the span of five years. The course, instituted during the academic session 2008-09 is duly recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Infrastructural Facilities

The college has its own separate, well constructed, wi-fi premises equipped with all the amenities the A/C Lecture Theatre, Smart Class Room, Moot Court Hall, Seminar Hall, Activity Room, Computer lab with 24 hours Internet facility, CCTV surveillance, upgraded library with electronic e resources and access to legal databases like SCC, AIR etc. Library facility is available beyond the college hours.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The course has been designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of law, both theoretical and practical through classroom teaching, Moot Courts, Seminars, Extension Lectures and Internship. A Foreign language (French) is part of the curriculum which gives them an extra advantage in today's global scenario. In addition to these regular activities, Law Review, Seminar, Moot Court, Quiz and debates are organised at big scale from time to time in order to enhance personality development aspects of the students. We have exclusive weekly test system which constantly upgrades and updates students' knowledge and learning. UFYLC organizes Supreme Court, High Court & District Court visits, survey of Jails and Internship in established law firms to enhance theirpractical acumen.
To instill the sense of social responsibility and awareness college makes an extra effort by attaching students with NGOs of Local, National and International repute.

Seats

20 (10% Over & above of total seats for EWS as per BCI norms) Students are also engaged in (i) National Service Scheme (ii) Legal Aid (iii) Moot Courts. These activities give students practical exposure. The aim of the Institute is the constant exploration of different avenues and consistent involvement of learning, keeping in mind the overall development of students. Institute has also availed the facilities of Sports Complex in the University Campus.

(Admission Through RULET)

Admission in B.A. LL. B. (Hons.) will be made on the basis of marks obtained in RULET exam. (Inclusive of group discussion marks and personal interview marks) concession / weightage marks (if applicable) subjects to the rules prescribed by the University from time to time.
